Standard First Aid and CPR Course

Join us for our private group training Standard First Aid and CPR Course *, professional facilitated by Para-Mentors. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a Certificate. Hosted by MAWB Network in collaboration with Greater Toronto Executive Centre.

* This course is fully WSIB accredited and meets the current ILCOR guidelines.

PARA-Mentors provide First Aid & CPR course training

Para-Mentors is the leader in the Ontario Paramedic training industry, and the Para First Aid & CPR courses are held to the same high standard. By using Paramedic instructors and the best equipment available, they ensure that their students are fully engaged in their training experience. They operate as a local business in the community, and truly care about our success and our performance.

This training is a combination of self-paced online learning (approximately 6-7 hours) that you can stop, start, pause and restart, if needed. After the online prework, you will be ready ofr our full-day of in-person training on Saturday, April 27th from 9:00 – 4:00 PM.

Also included in our in person training will be continental breakfast, lunch (salad, sandwiches & beverages), and afternoon tea/coffee & cookies will be provided.

  • Module 2: Emergency Scene Management
  • Module 3: Shock and Fainting
  • Module 4: Head, Spine & Pelvic Injuries
  • Module 5: CPR-C
    • Adult CPR & choking management
    • Child CPR & choking management
    • Infant CPR & choking management
    • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use
    • Naloxone use
  • Module 6: Deadly Bleeding Management
  • Module 7: Wound Management
  • Module 8: Bites and Stings
  • Module 9: Burn Management
  • Module 10: Medical Emergencies
  • Module 11: Secondary Survey
  • Module 12: Poisoning Emergencies
  • Module 13: Environmental Emergencies
  • Module 14: Eye Injuries
  • Module 15: Chest Injuries
  • Module 16: Musculoskeletal Injuries

During our in-person training on the 27th, students will learn CPR (adult and child), as well as first aid and the use of an AED (automatic External Defib). This is the best option as students will use these skills both at home and in their lives at work if the situation arises.

Registration is open to any MAWB members and friends of the MAWB Community. We have limited spots available, please register ASAP.

After you register for this training you will be emailed your access details for the online course. You must finish all of the online course modules before you can attend the April 27th in person training.
