Unpacking And Using White Privilege for “Good Trouble”
As the world wakes up to the fact that racism and white supremacy is a system that we are doused in from the moment we are born; that not one of us is exempt from this system; we may be finding ourselves wondering how we can change a system that clearly doesn’t work for everyone.
As a diverse community, the MAWB has an opportunity to learn and grow together.
On July 9, Tovey Blake was invited to facilitate “Roundtable Discussion on Equality / Anti-Racism” with interested MAWB members. It became evident during that short discussion that we have much to learn and unlearn. At the end of the call, I invited members to come forward if they wished to work on a plan to create a longer-lasting discussion on this topic.
I am delighted to announce that together MAWBsters Tovey Blake and Catherine Mitchell agreed to co-facilitate a 21-day program Unpacking and Using White Privilege for “Good Trouble”.
