After Saturday night’s festivities, Sunday morning started with a bang! Alright, that’s totally not true, at least not for me. I’d love to say I jumped out of bed, ready to start my day with a morning meditation, presided over by Linsey Denham, but I can’t. I groggily made my way to the dining room with the promise of Eggs Benedict, home fries, and fruit salad. I was relieved to see I was not the only one dragging myself around. Thank goodness for strong tea, is all I have to say!
Workshops were also being offered on Sunday morning, from 9:30-11:30, before we met for some closing words from Christine, our fearless leader (I emphasize “fearless” here, because she had to be to take on this mammoth project of a Retreat Weekend), and our creative and capable Retreat Committee. The workshops offered on Sunday morning were:
- The Essentials for Building a Traffic System, with Anneline Breetzke
- How to Win at Life, with Sherri Lojzer
- Your Business! Your Way—The Virtual Workplace, with Ritu Kohli-Sethi
- 5 Ways to Optimize your LinkedIn Profile, with Tovey Blake
- Increasing Prosperity in Your Home With Feng Shui, with Tasia Keeng
I was only registered for Ritu’s workshop, but it sounded like there was a lot of fun being had, at least in Anneline’s workshop, lol, and interesting information being shared. I used my downtime to sit one-on-one with Alyson Scott, Suzanne Forster, and Sadaf Palijo, and to get some fresh air before the closing remarks, final group photos, and lunch. In the wrap up Christine asked everyone to share a word that summed up the weekend for them. My word was sisterhood, because the bonding was so tight over those few days, that it really was building that “family you choose” base. Some other words that came out were enrichment, joy, fun, gratitude, and nourishment, among many others. There were also a lot of tears as women were overwhelmed by the emotions in these moments.
My final words go out to those five wonderful women, and one wonderful young lady, who gave their time, their thoughts and their energies to planning this weekend. I have to say you thought of everything. We wanted for nothing, and you anticipated everything. You went above and beyond and you deserve all good things that may come your way. Christine Hull, Donna Smith-Major, Carrie Whiteduck, Farrah Murray, Amber Dinda, and Violet Smith, you are OUTSTANDING! Thank you. Thank you so very, very much.
