SUMMARY:October Online Networking Event
DESCRIPTION:\nNetworking doesn’t have to mean walking into a crowded room, handing out business cards or delivering the perfect elevator pitch.\n\n\n\nSometimes it’s simply about having a conversation, getting to know another woman in business and discovering how you might be able to support one another.\n\n\n\nJoin us on Thursday, October 29 for our MAWB Online Networking Event, a relaxed 90-minute gathering designed to help you make meaningful connections from wherever you are.\n\n\n\nWhether you’re new to MAWB, have been part of our community for years, or simply want to meet more local women in business, you’re welcome to join us.\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\n\n\nWe’ll start together with quick introductions so everyone has a chance to share who they are and what they do.\n\n\n\nThen we’ll move into small Zoom breakout rooms where the real conversations happen.\n\n\n\nYou’ll have 10–12 minutes in each breakout room, giving you enough time to chat, learn about each other’s businesses and find common ground before moving on to your next connection.\n\n\n\nDuring our 90 minutes together:\n\n\n\n\nIntroduce yourself and your business to the group\n\n\n\nConnect with approximately 4–6 women in smaller breakout rooms\n\n\n\nShare what you do without the pressure of a formal pitch\n\n\n\nDiscover potential referral partners, collaborators and new connections\n\n\n\nReceive a contact list following the event so you can continue the conversations afterward\n\n\n\n\nAnd remember, you never know where one conversation might lead!\n\n\n\nCome As You Are\n\n\n\nYou don’t need a polished sales pitch.\n\n\n\nYou don’t need to “work the room.”\n\n\n\nJust come ready to talk, listen, ask questions and get to know the women on the other side of the screen.\n\n\n\nOur best advice? Be curious. Be yourself. And focus on building relationships first.\n\n\n\nNetworking works when we continue to show up, stay connected and support one another.\n\n\n\nEvent Details\n\n\n\nThursday, October 2912:00–1:30 PMOnline via Zoom\n\n\n\nRegistration: $10 + HSTComplimentary for MAWB Members\n\n\n\nWhether you make a new business connection, find someone you’d like to collaborate with, or simply meet a few women you’d like to have coffee with someday, we hope you leave feeling like your business community just got a little bigger.\n\n\n\nBuilding a community, one connection at a time!\n\n\n\nRegistration Fee: $10* + HST*Empower and Elevate Members, use the promo code when registering as this is included in your membership.
